GP4, GP5 and GP6 are consecutive on the right edge; 3V3 and GND are together on the left edge (unlike the Pico, where GND sits between GP5 and GP6).

Photo labels read GP4/GP5/GP6/3V3/GND: the same names apply to the Zero.
Cautions
Wires no longer than 10–12 cm (4–5 in), especially CLK and DI (PIO runs at 250 MHz).
Power from 3V3 (v0.4 default). Never connect 3V3 and 5V together. The 5V option needs a Schottky diode (1N5822, 1N5819 or SS110) and was not evaluated on the Zero.
Do not plug in USB while the console is on. Flash the UF2 with the console off and unpowered.
Fine pitch on U10: use a fine tip and check for shorts with a multimeter before powering up.
Firmware changes for the Zero: force Pico board type (GP29 ADC detection does not work on the Zero), build with PICO_BOARD=waveshare_rp2040_zero, drop pico_cyw43_arch_none.
